Free MySQL hosting with remote access?

  • I’ve tried db4free.net to host the mySQL database for my wordpress blog. Unfortunately, I noticed that it was fairly slow.

    I am looking for some recommendations on what free MySQL hosting should I use that has remote mySQL access and an acceptable speed as well with at least 20-50MBs of space.

  • We do not recommend using free hosts to run WordPress. Although we do not personally endorse them, there are some commercial hosts listed here. Also searching the forums using the keywords “host” or “hosting” may provide you with some suggestions. However, due to the amount of spam that these topics attract, I’m afraid I will have to close this one.
