Group URL not Submitting

Hey Hanny102,

We add groups based on the group urlname and not the full URL. This means that if you try adding Vegan-Business-Owners then it should successfully add the group. We will look into adding the ability to use the full URL since this has been a confusing topic for many users.

If you are still having difficulties adding your group then feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help.

I tried the above mentioned way and still get an error message.

It displays:

Groups have been added.
Please enter a correct group urlname.

By the way… I also tried with the URL as indicated on this post:

I tried several ways and nothing seems to work.

We are still looking into the issue. There is a communication error between the plugin and Meetup. Once we figure out what the issue is then we will push an update immediately. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Has this issue never been resolved? I’m trying to use this plugin now and I’m having this exact problem.

I apologize, this seems to be an issue that has fallen through the cracks while we were in transition between developers, and yes it appears to still not be working quite correctly for every case across the board. I believe the issue lies in a deprecated database table, that depending on how you updated, the plugin was not properly adjusted to insert groups and events into the new database structure. I will not be able to get to coding out a fix for this today, but hopefully by the end of the week we will be able to push out an update with a fix for this issue.
