NextGEN Gallery not working

  • The gallery was working fine but I had an issue with another plugin and I deleted NextGEN. I ended up getting rid of the problem plugin and installed the NextGEN Gallery and now when I mouse over the Gallery menu on the left side of the screen all I get is a manage tabs tab. When I try to create a post the icon to add a gallery to a post is gone too. I’ve uninstalled and re-installed again and it’s still not working.

  • @scrapality, have you deleted the NextGEN tables or some other data in database?
    If the answer is no – have you tried to upload manually NextGEN (from a fresh folder) via FTP?
    And have you tried to deactivate all other plugins and activate a WordPress defaut theme to see if it works?

    @scrapality – This is generally a conflict with another plugin (but it is very difficult to sort out which … we’re still trying to pinpoint it ourselves), but we have seen many successes with using our external Reset Tool plugin (*twice*) to correct the instance.
