Notification not working

  • Hello,

    I have problems using WP Updates Notifier. I installed the plugin and configured it, when I hit save and send test mail, I get the mail.
    But I get no mail when updates are available.

    Then I tried to call the given URL for cron in my browser, this triggered the mail. But I think it should be able to use wordpress integrated cron support.

    Feel free to ask for adiitional information if required, I will supply them as soon as possible.

    Hi,

    this problem sounds familiar to me.

    I have several wordpress-clients on the same server but notifications don’t work the same way in different Websites.

    I also get the test mail, but no further mails if there are new updates.

    My Settings:

    – WordPress 4.0
    – localization: de_DE

    Plugins activated:
    – 2 Click Social Media Buttons
    – Antispam Bee ( Update available)
    – Contact Form 7
    – iThemes Security
    – WordPress SEO ( Update available)
    – WP Lightbox 2
    – WP Updates Notifier

    Plugin-Settings:
    Use WordPress Cron
    Check once a day
    Mail-Receiver and Sender seems to be ok as I get test-mails
    Notify just for activated Plugins and Themes
    Hide from non-admin: true

    I also see in Chrome-Dev-Console: wp-content/plugins/wp-updates-notifier/js/function.js?ver=1.0 404 (Not Found)

    I’d appreciate to know ho to fix or debug this.
