Backupwordpress plugin

Hi, I tried to install Backupwordpress plugin. I have watched few youtube tutorials, but none of them mentioned the situation I encountered. When I installed backupwordpress, it took me to another page with title saying connection information, and it asked me to fill in host name, FTP username, Ftp password, connection type. This is a bit weird to me. None of the youtube tutorials showed this bit. Is it okay and safe to fill in this sensitive information. I have moved my websites from shared platform to VPS. I dont’t know if this is the reason the backupwordpress plugin asked me for all this information ? Thank you for helping me.Kind regards,Claire
