Default prediction score

  • That would mean that somebody who didn’t play would get full points if the match finished 0-0.

    Yet somebody who did play but predicted a score draw would get less points!

    The default is no score (NULL in the database).

    My point is want to keep users engaged in the competition even when they cannot win it any more, as some just stop playing. So I added a prize in ending up in last, but if the default is no score (NULL) then I cannot really work this solution. I need users to keep coming back even to enter a ridiculous score.

    But having a default score would be unfair on players at the top, surely? (see my previous post for why)
