Excerpt of latest comment on each post

  • I am looking for a plugin/hack that will help do the following:

    – Display the latest comment on each post on index, archive and search listings. For example:

    Headline
    Date
    Text
    3 comments
    Excerpt of latest comment (e.g. 250 characters)

    Is that possible? None of the latest comments plugins seems to do this, they are all sidebar-specific. I want something to put into The Loop.

    Willing to pay for a solution if there’s nothing out there.

    I take the lack of response means there are no solutions out there, anyone here willing to help me build a plugin/hack that does this? I am willing to pay.
