    Hi Isaac,
    It looks like it is a problem with your server settings somehow, unless you’re using anything but the default font in the PDF – some fonts do not properly support special characters, especially when using google remote fonts (even if they do support extended character sets!). But the font included in the Simple template (Open Sans) should work.

    Usually spanish or other foreign accents (including russian, polish etc.) work perfectly. Do you see any warnings on the plugin status page? For example, if the php MBString extension is not installed on your server, this could be the cause of the missing characters.

    Yes I saw in the status page a warning refering to Mbstring extension. I will install it on my server and I will try again.

    For anyone else having the same issue: installing php-mbstring did indeed solve this issue. This is standard on most web servers, but if your server doesn’t have it installed, contact your host and ask them to install it.
