• One of the pages of my website loads extremely slow. When I do a test on webpagetest it turns out that it loads 451 files which I don’t know what they are. Although the page only gets A’s, it is still slow. The describtion which webpagetest gives for the particular files is: ‘on load’. Similar pages as this one do not load these files. Does anyone have an idea to solve this? Thanks in advance.

The problem is about the page: https://www.latour-lith.nl/outlet

  • I just loaded that in Firefox and it was very fast.

Have you looked at using Firebug (a browser extension) to see how and from where each element loads?

Yes I did, but I couldn’t find anything what would go wrong.

When I run it through google pagespeed it yields a score of 39. And as you can see in this report https://www.webpagetest.org/result/140611_X5_EKP/1/details/ many small files are loaded but I’ve no clue what it is. Do you have any idea?

Which files in particular? The beacon files are from google, probably tracking cookies.

Yes I mean the beacon files. These are slowing down the page. Is there any way to get rid of them?

You need to look at what your plugins are loading as I assume they are using Google resources in some way – fonts, analytics. But they are very very tiny files and will not be slowing the site that much.

Oke I will. Thanks for the support. It is appreciated!
