• Hello, i designed a website for work on 3.5.1 back about a year ago and it was running flawlessly. I recently started working from home and someone at the office logged into the admin and not knowing wtf he was doing clicked the “update to 3.9.1”. The issue is a lot of the plugins and software used are not compatible with the 3.9.1 version of wordpress and i would like to revert it back to 3.5.1 since it was designed perfectly and running flawlessly with over 500 products in the online store.

What would be the most effective way to do this. He didn’t happen to update the plugins or anything else so i would just need to revert the files. Any tips? Easiest way to do this? Or am i stuck in having to redesign to fit the current build.

The best thing to do would be to update all your plugins.

    Any tips?

When you don’t update, you become vulnerable to security holes, both in WordPress itself, and in your theme and plugins. This is one of the reasons for WordPress’s frequent updates.

Most of the hacked WordPress sites I’ve seen have been using outdated software. Protect yourself, and update on a regular basis.
