Need to add a title and description and link

@tbogardus – You should be able to add the alttext (aka title) detail into your custom template but having two different descriptions where one is used on the Gallery display and the other is used for the Lightbox Effect is not currently available with NextGEN.

DO I create another template from the gallery.php and then add this?

<?php echo $gallery->title ?>

Because that is pulling the the title of the gallery and not the title of the thumbnail.

I just cannot get the alttext to be the title above the photo. I used HTML for the alt text field and sort of got it to work, but this is not how I want it and it is not easy to do HTML for all the images. https://www.webworxincdev.com/mesv/purchase-equipment/patient-monitoring/

@tbogardus – That would be the correct variable to echo to the screen but we do not directly offer support for custom templates unless there is an issue with the core component of what is being displayed.

Okay, I have it figured out the best I can. However, I am having a couple problems. The images when clicked are not going to their larger images. Also, I want to have 3 across and even though I have that in the admin part, it is not putting 3 across. I want the text centered below the photos too. @tbogardus – Not all settings from the Customization panel are honored by most custom templates. As to layout, that will need to be addressed in the template, or any additional custom CSS it requires.

To have all of the thumbnails the same size you may need to re-generate them with cropping turned on.

@tbogardus – I can only guess that your images are sized to those dimensions … otherwise I am not sure what would cause the thumbnail to be used as the “original”

No matter what size image I upload, it goes to that size thumbnail in the larger version.

Nevermind anyway, I have no time to deal with reinstallation of your plugin for the 3rd time.
