Custom installer Question.

  • I’ve been sieving through the search being hit by Splogs!!! on every corner for the last couple hours with no luck. I can’t seem to find any solid advice, can anyone help?

    Is there anyway to take a custom copy of WP including setting, plugins and so on and set it up as an installation file to be installed on another domain identical to the last but with the new domain name in automatically put in place and new tables created in the DB but with the custom information from the custom copy.

    There’s no way to migrate an installation that completely yet. Your best bet is to backup all of your files and backup your database, do a fresh install on the new server, reload all of your old files and import your database and then configure your options.

    That’s plan A, I’ve been looking about for a plan B I’m going to look into WPMU all though that’s not really what I wanted. Thanks for the link. ??
