Cannot disable Facebook publishing

  • I recently switched from WP.com to managed WP.ORG. I had my old site publish each blog entry automatically but in the new site https://www.avonwaters.com I want to turn off the auto publish to FB. In other posts they write “When setting up the Facebook connections, there is an option to share the connections with other users on the site or not. Simply uncheck the box, and the connections won’t be shared.”

    When I go to Jetpack, settings, it only has the options to connect to FB and has no box to check or uncheck to publicize. The post page for the blog also lacks any publicize box options.

    Is this a carry over issue from the old blog that for some reason is not showing on the new dashboard that I am connected, thus not getting the “box” to uncheck?

    WordPress does not publish to Facebook by default. If you are using Jetpack for this, pleas ask in the plugin’s dedicated support forum.
