WordPress website slow

  • Hello hi, my website is running very slowly. I’m using forgiven theme with some event calendar, woocommerce, church event plugin. My website runs very slowly i dont know how to fix it. Even i tried to uninstalling and installing it again but still its very slow. Can you anyone help me to fix it????

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Thanks for your quick replay esmi,ya i tried it, i think problem it is theme problem beause when i activated the default theme it worked very well but in forgiven theme it took lot of time to run. Is there any way to increase the speed of the site.

    I’d start by running your website through Google’s PageSpeed Insights tool. It analyzes your site and provides recommendations that’ll speed things up.

    Alternatively, it’d help if you posted the site URL here – then we can look at it.

    yeah i have checked my site using pagespeed insights and in desktop i got 84/100 for desktop and 75/100 for mobile.

    Consider using a cache plugin. This one is one of several that can help.
