One of our client have been using WP eCommerce since v3.6.x and keep updating that to latest version as and when available.

BUT your latest version 3.8.14.1 just messed up everything. Initially we only had Checkout Fields as Shipping Address. While your new version has Billing & Shipping both. So to overcome this, we have to clear database table of checkout form & re-activate plugin in order to get new default set of checkout fields.

This is not enough, we also got BIG issues in Checkout Process for users like,

    – State Validation even if user enter State.
    – Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order.
    – Shipping Charges were not forwarded to PayPal. It was just charging Product Price & Tax. In case where Flat Shipping was set to 0.00 & added at Product Level.

We spent week to overcome this but last issue of Shipping Charges didn’t got solved.

This is NOT in the case of this client Only.. Other projects where we installed your plugin last year.. they also got same issues for Shipping Price not charged at PayPal when Flat Shipping was added at Product Level.

So finally, ONLY option we have to roll plugin back to 3.8.13.1 to overcome this.

Please do test your latest version specially with the case when,

    – Shipping is Enabled with Flat Rate using Individual product shipping.
    e.g. https://docs.getshopped.org/documentation/individual-product-shipping/

This doesnt work in your latest version.

I just want to bring this to your attention as I have found many forum / places where people are facing similar issues with your latest version.

    Thanks,
    Hardik Vyas.

  • Yup same problem here- I’ll be rolling back to 3.8.13.3 until this gets fixed…

    Hey guys.
I had one other issue like this and i investigated it.
User`s site was using flat rate shipping. The Flat Rate shipping rate for US All 50 states was set to 0 and each products had a flat rate like 5$.

On the users website the 5$ were not being passed on to PayPal. It drove me crazy cause i just could not figure out whats causing it.

Then i downloaded his whole store and ran it on localhost. No changes, no plugins disabled and with his theme and it works just fine.
I also tested on my localhost using a fresh setup of WP and WPeC and it is working correctly.

I can only assume it has something to do with the hosting you are on.

    Hey guys just an update.
Can you apply the code from this PR and let us know if its fixed or not afterwards:

Hey Mihai- I’ll give it a shot and let you know… Thanks!

Hey Mihai- so I manually updated the 6 changed files from that pull request on Github and gave 3.8.14.1 another shot. Unfortunately it had me stuck in an error loop when I’d try to continue on from the checkout page to Paypal. As soon as I clicked the button I’d get an error message telling me I had to “choose a shipping option”, but there was nothing to choose from as I don’t have any shipping options turned on…

One other thing I noticed was that when I selected to use the same shipping/billing address, my shipping charges got wiped out and I had to go back up to the top of the form and reselect my country/state and “recalculate”. This also happened when I tried to submit the form and got the choose shipping option error.

    Hey there,
    On Store -> Shipping.
Do you have Shipping enabled at the top ?

I flipped back to 3.8.13, but i’ll go back to .14 and check that…

Yes, the shipping enabled check box was on.

Ok so disable shipping if you don`t use it.

At some point late last night, with no warning, and having done nothing to my site or Store/Paypal settings, suddenly WPEC stopped sending shipping charges to Paypal. The Premium Shipping plugin still calculates the charges accurately, and they’re displayed during checkout, but they aren’t passed onto to Paypal, so customers aren’t paying shipping for their purchases.

Do you have any ideas why this is happening? I’m using Paypal Payments Standard 2.0 as the payment gateway, and all the settings appear correct and have not changed since yesterday.

This is an emergency, as customers have been buying products and not paying any shipping. Thank you so much for your help.

Same problem here. I’m about ready to let this non-tech client start with the communication on bugs with wp E-commerce. Getting tired of this.

    NOT [RESOLVED], by the way!

Hi tim92109, did this issue just begin for you last night, by any chance? Everything has been working fine for me, but shipping charges stopped being sent to Paypal sometime between 8:05 and 9:25 PM EST last night.

Having the same problem with shipping fees not carrying through to paypal using paypal standard.. have tried updating to the latest version of wp e-commerce and still no shipping in paypal, we’re using table rate which has been fine for ages, have just started a campaign and we’re not taking any shipping charges.. Please help! site is https://www.senser.co.uk
@mihai you’ve helped us before, if you can help again that would be massively appreciated! Thanks

Re the timing of the change that’s brought about the error – we had an order on 8 Oct 2014 at 21:08:47 BST with the shipping in paypal being fine, we then had another order on 9 Oct 2014 at 06:58:41 BST and it’s been broken since.

The plugin was updated a few hours a go to Version: 3.8.14.3 and it’s still not fixed

    Any help is really appreciated
