Meta tag wont verify

  • I installed the plugin, went to settings and pasted the google Webmaster HTML code in the box and clicked save.
    I then went to my Google Webmaster and clicked the link to check to see if the upload was successful and it went to my site with a 404 Error, Page not found.
    I then clicked verify and it told me that the verification failed…
    Any Idea what went wrong?
