• I’m experiencing errors with all my CF7 forms now, where I get this error message:

Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit it again.

Background story: I used the same forms before, but now they’re not working. I copied the form code/text from a WordPress installation that I recently recreated with a new theme (exported posts/pages into a new WP installation, and I copied text from CF7 on the old site, to the new site).

What I’ve already tried: I’ve tried disabling all my plugins. The theme is supposed to be CF7 proof, as the plugin is recommended/included in the theme bundle (Hadron theme from Mojo Themes. I’ve entered everything in the fields correctly, and I’ve also removed the asterisks from the code to see if that helped, as suggested in a few threads I’ve read. The email recepient is correct too.

    What is happening here?

Check out my site here: https://byingeborg.no and scroll down to see the form.

Thank you so much for your time.

Try switching to the default theme.

Hi, and thank you so much for replying! I removed the default theme from my themes directory. Also, how does this help? I don’t want to use another theme as I’ve been working hard to customize this one. Is there anything else I can do, or do you have any additional information?

The theme you’re using has problems in its CSS stylesheet and it makes error messages invisible.

Hi again and thank you so much for your time. Do you know what spesific problems in the CSS cause the error messages to be invisible? Anything I could do? And what exactly do you mean with “invisible error messages”? There should be no error messages as I fill in the form correctly when I test it.

I figured it was a conflict with really simple CAPTCHA as it now works with CAPTCHA disabled (just removed from the code, plugin not deleted…) I also removed styling in the theme stylesheet. It works now, so I’ll have to figure out a way to secure myself from spam. Is there any option to CAPTCHA (akismet?) ?
