• I am using https://validator.w3.org
and got a few errors in my Blog

do I need to go separately to my different pages (home.php, sidebar.php etc) searching for the errors
or is there a smarter way to correct syntax
    error in my Blog ?

  • It depends where the errors are and on which “page” (main, single, archives etc.)
Check the Show Source boc and revalidate. Every line number will become a link taking you to the exact location of the error.

the lines ARE becoming link but within the validator page
    not to the source page…
    help ?

And can’t you read your own source code there? It does show exactly your source code = which means the generated code. Never the code in the template files.

but how do if the code came from
    home.php or the post.php
or the code i entered in the WordPress
    insert post/dashboard ?
