File upload sometimes freezes

  • When I try to upload a JPEG image from my desktop to my media library in order to insert into a post, sometimes the upload works, and other times, the little blue bar goes a part way across and then freezes.

    Today I had 5 photos to upload: 2 were uploaded on the first try, another 2 took 4-6 attempts each before uploading, and the last took a dozen attempts before uploading. (Once the photos are uploaded, there is no problem inserting into the posts.)

    These are all small files, in the range of 300-500k.

    On the repeated tries, once the blue bar freezes, I delete the frozen box, wait a minute or so, and then try again.

    I am thinking because I am eventually successful, there is a simple solution to this problem. Any ideas?
