I don’t like the line “This post was first published on xxxxx” for two reasons:
    1) I mean, I’m sending from that address. Why should I tell my subscribers that I was the first one to publish it…? Whatever.
    2) That line – for any reasons – also doesn’t break at a certain point, but completely messes up my design as it’s just one looooong line. I already managed to make it fit (without changing any code at all, still using *|RSSITEM:CONTENT|*), but after changing another line, it messed it up again. Didn’t make sense to me and I didn’t manage to bring it back to good again.

Is there a chance to define the contenct of *|RSSITEM:CONTENT|* and hence delete that one line?
    Thanks!

    Hi there,

This issue is outside of the scope of the plugin and more related to MailChimp and WordPress feeds in general so the guys over at MailChimp support might be able to help you out better than I can.

From the top of my head, that line is added by WordPress SEO by Yoast (if I’m correct). It does this because of scrapers which might be using your content. This will make it harder to do so as the RSS feed contains backlinks to your site, the original source.

Anyway, hope that helps a little. Good luck!

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation and the link.
