• I’ve always highly disliked the visual rich editor (it has a habit of screwing up my tables), so when I disabled it, I expected to have no further problems with WordPress altering any of my code (as I’m more than able to be able to insert my own code correctly and easily). However, I just noticed when I started embedding ads into my site, that the nl2br function which inserts <p> and
tags automatically is still running. I’d like to request that there be a way to turn this off completely. In fact, I think it should be turned off right along side the visual rich editor. If the editor’s off, chances are we know what we’re doing enough to add our own tags.

    Thanks!

I’ve never used the visual rich editor for my personal blogging, but enjoy being able to bypass the need to add tags dealing with paragraph formatting. And I’m quite certain I know what I’m doing. :/

But if you want it off, you might look at:

Thank you so much for this plugin. It’s done exactly what I needed done =)

I still think that I should be a built-in feature of WordPress to turn all these automatic formattings off, however.
