Choice of plugin?

    quite sorry if this isn’t the place to look, but I’m looking into wordpress because I need a specific kind of site and it seems that wordpress + plugin could provide it.
    However I’m a bit lost in the number of available plugins out there.

    Don’t hesitate to send me somewhere else if necessary ??

    My question is: what would be an appropriate WP plugin?

    The kind of website I’m looking for is an application marketplace. Not a shopping cart (plenty of those out there!), not for mobile applications (found a couple of those too), but something like: each item is an URL + name + icon + description, and clicking launches them.

    I would expect the plugin to map blog posts to items. I would also need publisher accounts as well as end-user accounts (just for launching). If it supported subscription to the apps, statistics and stuff like that it would be even better ??
