Email Notification When A Bug/Issue is assigned to a User

  • Hi Yannick and Team,

    I have a simple query. I as an admin trying to assign a Bug to a User which may/May not have admin functionality. But once a Bug/Issue is assigned to a user, an email notification should go to the user stating a bug is assigned to you. Same is the case when a Comment is written..

    Also when a bug is assigned to me for example, it should show on my page saying A bug is assigned to me by admin….

    This is a big question to me.. and i understand this is a time taking task for you.. but im just looking for a guidance on this.

    Hi Kailash,

    First off, there is no team. I develop Bug Library on my own ??

    Now, for your questions, I think that the main issue is that Bug Library was designed with a single-user perspective, or at least from a perspective where all users have admin access so that they can manage bugs.

    Adding all of the functionality to make it a multi-user system is possible but I do not currently have so much time to invest in this plugin, especially with the small user based that it has. I should mention that I write plugins in my spare time outside of my regular day job.

    I am sorry if the plugin does not meet your needs as it is and that it would take a lot of effort to make it what you would like it to be.
