Problem navigating to ‘Next’.

Permalinks are disabled, permalink_structure parameter in wp_options show NULL. All categories and history links work ok except navigation links, which are done using: <?php posts_nav_link(‘ – ‘,’« Predchádzajúce’,’?al?ie »’) ?>. There is no .htaccess file. When clicking on: https://www.somesite.sk/index.php?paged=2 i am redirected to:
https://www.somesite.sk/page/2/ resulting in 404 page not found. Please help.. Where is the actual redirection done, and based on what?
