Gallery is not appearing in Subscription emails

    I use Jetpack Subscriptions and Tile Galleries in my blog. When I post, the gallery does not appear in the subscription emails. If I use single images, they do appear in the emails.
    Is this an issue with Jetpack Subscriptions, and can it be fixed?

    Howdy,

    This is due to the way that Galleries work. Galleries are added to your pages through a shortcode, e.g. [gallery].

    When WordPress.com gets your post’s content for the subscription e-mail, we aren’t able to parse what the shortcode is trying to include, so we’re unable to render it.

    In short, this isn’t something that can be fixed without a great deal of work. We’re aware, but I can’t give you a timeline on it.

    In the meantime, does anyone have a suggestion for a workaround for this please? I’m considering creating a static image to stand in for the gallery in emails, and then hide this image on the web page using CSS or Javascript.

    That would work, indeed. I can’t think of any other temporary solution, I’m afraid.
