WordPress 3.91 Image edit problems and not showing up in IE

I just noticed that all my blogs where is updated latest WP version 3.9.1 appearing same problem – no images show up in posts, only black line. (in IE)
Was trying to find solution and what I noticed is that if I remove the height=”” in Text mode, then picture shows up ok, with the weight chosen and handwritten in numbers in Text mode and height=”” removed. Since now it was always possible to leave the size of height ziro like this: height=””, I never added it because weight is what I want all be same in all posts, height can vary and leaving it blank height=”” always worked automatically rezised with weight.

Now as I found the reason why I not see photos in posts in Internet Explorer (I have latest version), still I have no idea how to fix it rather I get image editing in latest WP even more steps to do in text mode.
Really missing back that simple quickly opened Edit Window as it was since last WP update. It was SOOOO good with all the options, why it was removed and replaased with poor , little choices and slow editing window ??

PS. No, I am not using the WordPress Media, image option at all, it is not offering the options I need neither.
Unisntalled NextGen as it changed to bad. Loved the oled one with more options. In one blog yet to remove this plugin.
So- I have gallery folder and I’m inserting pictures by URL. I doubt I am only one using this as not WP plugin for gallery available any kind suitable anymore. And now also the very last removed from WP and replaced with so poor editing window ??

Rolling back the editor is not an option at this time, as the changes made are required for other compatibility aspects.

I DO NOT WANT drag picture size manually in post, I want click to Edit, then add the size value just like I add align.

You can do that in the HTML editor, but as you indicated, you don’t like this. While you see it as childish, it’s easier for people who don’t know exactly what the size MUST be to drag-resize, and then preview and adjust.

Now after I attach picture by submitting URL ( from my gallery folder) , and yes I always use only the URL because my other site using same pictures in linked (same content, two differnt languages)
then these pics NOT showing up in IE ??
Only black line beside picture.

Is this on the editor or on the page view? Also what version of IE are you using?

Hi thank you so much for prompt reply. Well I knew the fact that English is my 3rd language once makes me feel fool but lets no care of that, but rather lets hope the new Editor gets all the same options available what was in old version if not then at least the weight and height?
And oh no, I did not mean html is childish way, I meant the new Editor window with half less options (only the simpliest ones left there) got plain childish options only and the rest was removed. Sad. So there is NO way to add size numbers in new editor anymore, right? Ir is it just my backend?
I of course can edit in html, but now this causing me several more clicks to go html therefore more time consuming = new WP version took step back = just in case I am not going to update next time. (Sad nr 2 ??

Now seriously, yes that is so, like I wrote that after removing the height=”” from html mode, it shows photo fine in IE, othervise not, and I believe the black line at place of photo is actually the photo with 0,1 pc height or something like that. I hope you agree this is not quite a normal, that height=”” in html causing results like this? That little I have been using html many many years and it always worked.
My IE is 10.0 something and being honest I do not use IE at all ( but Chrome), I just accidently found out my images not showing in IE browser when I checked how my website looks in IE. Tho via my web statistics I see many many people using this IE version still. I can not test if it is same problem with latest IE because I do not want update it yet.
In my WP backend editor and also frontend all shows FINE in Chrome (y)

I can provide the screenshots from html and webview in chrome and IE if that helps somehow the WP team.

In my “being hobby website owner older lady over 50’ies” I found the only solution now left going my every post over in html to add the sizes for every image and remove the height=”” to get my blog continue work. And buying new glasses for that, I think.

I tryed it but unfortunately there is not option to add weight height in numbers neither ??
It is adjusting an image’s margins and border and maybe some more bells and whistles, I do not use wysiwyg one by one photos, I have it all in theme and I like plain white background and not any borders nor decorations.
I wish I would be able to add into theme that every photo is every new post is automatically aligned left, size is width=”400″ and it opens lightboxs like it did previous WP version.

I need this because Featured Picture in WP does not work the way I want in certain size in post and side of Facebook shared link.

There is one more interesting issue with editing height of picture. Just in case I write it here.

After removing height=”” from html and publishing article it looks fine. BUT if I go back and edit photo via editor button (click on picture), and lets say I add class or any other new value, clicking save, and for the horror the new editor adds now the stretched out height (maybe original height of picture?) automatically.
One must again go to html and remove the height=”” to get picture in normal size not distorted.

Interesting that height causing so much problem.
My old brain just does not get WHY it was necessary to remove the weight/ height from WP picture editor????
It did not took more room than one row.
