Private Posts

Under the edit menu, the link to the Private post takes you to a page in your blog (outside of the admin interface) that says no posts can be found. Can the link, instead, take you to a page that checks a cookie to see if you are logged in and allowed to read the post? or at least a page within the backend showing it? Otherwise, the only way to view a private entry is to edit it… thx =)
