no advanced settings image

Hi, when i click on a picture on the upper left corner appears a pencil so I can edit the picture but there are no advanced options to edit the pictures like putting a margin around it. On some youtube tutorials there appears a little picture instead of a pencil in the upperleft corner.How do i get that?
