Changing sidebars on categories

  • I have a wordpress 2.0 blog… I use widgets to fill my sidebars… i would like different categories to have different widgets… i think i need to create a templete, such as category-6.php which is easy enough… but, once i create that file, can i edit it (add widgets) in wordpress? if so, how? i dont really want to have to code in html.
    it seems like im only able to drag widgets to the main index page

    Is my question not clear? or does no one know the answer?
    surely someone else must have wanted to do this also

    1. Bumping twice in 20 hrs = results in ignoring your posts. It’s annoying and rude. Helpers are volunteers.

    2. i dont really want to have to code in html.
    Then there is no answer.
