• I am developing a multisite where sites are created/replicated using a blog template. Since the majority of site’s owners are not technical, we are pre-setting as much as possible in the blog template that carries over. I like your contact form. Can we setup the email address to be the user’s registration email by default?

    Hi Kathy,

Sorry for the delay replying, illness decided to strike the day after I released the plugin!

I don’t quite understand your question – when you say ’email address’, do you mean the email address the plugin sends the filled out forms to, as set in the settings, or are you talking about the email address field on the actual form?

    Kind Regards,

Hi Dave I hope you are feeling better.

I am referring to the email address the plugin send the filled out forms to as in the settings. So many of the contact forms settings are very complicated for novice users. I would like to setup the plugin on the template blog so that all new sites do not have to set this up at all. So the question was regarding a default email to site owner or could I use a user variable. I hope this is clearer.

    Hi Kathy,

I’ve added this to the ‘known issues’ list on the website ( https://davedub.co.uk/davedub/wordpress/dd-contact-form/ )

However, on fresh install, the plugin currently send an email to the site admin, but with instructions on how to change the email address.

That said, I do plan to change it to simply set the site admin as the form enquiry recipient on install in the next update.
