iThemes Security (formerly Better WP Security) Can't Login After Installing

    I just wanted to put this out there cause there may be other people that had the same problem as I did. With the upgrade from WordPress 3.9.1 Better WordPress Security to iThemes Security I wasn’t able to log in and only got a “Page not found”

    After some hair pulling I figured it out.
    Here is what I did:
    This worked on all 8 of my website that I manage

    In .htaccess delete everything between
    # BEGIN Better WP Security
    # END Better WP Security
    Don’t delete anything ells cause then your post and stuff will not work
    Then go to the plugins in FTP

    Rename the plugin to: better-wp-security-old
    Then go to your website and at the end of the url put yourdomain.co.za/wp-admin/?

    And ther you have it you will be able to login and do all the upgrades on iThemes Security to prevent this from happening again.

    Hope this helps someone.
