Transferring Question!!! Please Help!

Have you and/or your new host had a look at Moving_WordPress?

I’m the host and have been working with this client of mine. I have changed their username and now I am no longer seeing PHP errors, but a DB error with wordpress connecting.

Please check it now and provide some feedback.

For a “host” is pretty lame that you cannot read an error message.
The celticsp_wrdp2 database doesn’t exist. Or not where the wp-config file is looking for it.

Thanks for that, but the DB is there, with the same username, password and databse name.

I’ve edited the wp-config file to match what we have setup right now.

Any ideas?

it says clearly: server is OK, username is OK, pw is OK – as for the DB server.
The only problem is the mentioned DB.
Has the user ALL the privileges? Was the user added to that database?

Again, these are basic questions that a host should know better than to come here and ask for free help for their paying clients. Learn your job if you are in the hosting business!

Moshu, I could easily do what you’re doing right now, cutting someone down on a forum, but my goal is to assist my customer right now.

Without your “help” my technician was able to figure it out.

And my goal and, btw, the goal of the WP Forum is to offer free assistance to WP users – not hosts.

I came here representing a client, as the client asked me to do. The goal was to get it fixed, and we’ve reached that goal. Thank you for your assistance during this situation.

Some of you mods need a life… I don’t like the sarcasm people get on this forum sometimes. Answer the questions, help people out and if you can’t don’t complain about it. It is pitiful.
