Looking for a Membership Plugin

I’m working on redesigning our company’s website, and we’d like to have a “membership area” (that is free of charge!) where people would register to our website and have access to said area. Using this registration, we would also like to give them the option to sign up for a newsletter.

Currently our site has three different sign ups (one of the newsletter, one for the blog, and one for this area) which I think is utter BS. I’d like to be able to manage it all from one plugin.

I’m having trouble finding one that might suit my needs, as we do not plan on ever charging people memberships. Maybe I am searching for the wrong thing here?
