Unable to upload 3.5.1 zip file

    I’ve downloaded the zip file to my computer and when I went to upload it via the plugins page I got the following message:
    The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.

    I tried it a second time and got this message: The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/05

    Please advise.

    Howdy MKTGLinks,

    It sounds like the first time you had an incomplete download. Maybe the internet between you and www.remarpro.com dipped for a second.

    The second time you got a permission error. Did you try redownloading the zip the second time? If so, are you able to upload other plugins? If you have tried redownloading TEC and can upload other plugins the same way, then perhaps you should try manually installing the plugin via FTP. Unzip it locally, then upload the directory to your wp-plugins folder. There are more detailed instructions in the Codex.

    Hi Brook,

    Yes, I redownloaded the file 3 times…same results when uploading. I have uploaded other plugins.

    I’ll see about installing via FTP.

    Excellent! I hope yhe FTp install goes smooth. It sounds like your server is having trouble unzipping our plugin for an unknown reason. If you manually unzip as you would via FTP, that might very well work around the problem. Cheers!
