Paste to posts from Microsoft Word

Before I upgraded to the horrid WordPress 3.9 I could paste posts from Word that would retain the formatting and style I desired.

Unfortunately 3.9 stripped that out and I can’t paste from Word without the formatting getting messed up.

Is there a plugin that would make this work again as it did before the update?

WordPress’ text editor for posts I find very challenging to use so that is not an option but i am really struggling to resolve this.

Any suggestions welcome.
