post_in and post_not_in alternative solution

Hi. I know that you can not use post_in and post_not_in in the same argument when quering posts – so what is the alternative solution?

I need to call all the sticky posts on a single post page (as related posts) but I also need to exclude the current post that is being viewed if it is a sticky post.
