Using a hosted version of WordPress…

Hi, I’m using a one click install version of WordPress that is hosted on my 1&1 package.

I’m not too smart when it comes to programming and coding. I wanted to create a static home page via a plug in and I also wanted to ammend the page layout – currently all the links and categories are stuck at the bottom of the page.

I called 1&1 Internet and they said I am unable to modify my WordPress blog to this extent through their interface. Does anyone know if I can get round this?
