Checking for posts with identical titles

Hi,

Sorry to ask here, but I thought it would the the fastest way to get an answer.

I am looking for a way to verify during the posting process that the title of the new post is not identical to another.

Is anyone aware of a pre-made solution, or the correct way to add in duplicate title verification?
