• I have installed wp on my domain and I want to use it as follows on some static pages:

domain (dot) com / outdoor entertaining / outdoor kitchen

however the permalink created is something like – domain (dot) com / outdoor kitchen/

Missing the outdoor entertaining page! I have selected parent ad outdoor entertaining so how can I change permalink to match as I want?

    Any advise greatly appreciated.

  • the parenting of the outdoor kitchen to outdoor entertaining did you do it through PAGE ATTRIBUTES or through APPEARANCE > MENUS ? The former is the only way to get what you’re after

note that outdoor entertaining has to be a published page,

@davidsword: Thank for contributing to the WPORG support forums but could you please try to reference the relevant Codex pages on www.remarpro.com – not wordpress.com?

Referencing wp.com documentation just causes confusion.

Thanks, I have created a menu but I have the following issues, they are not as arranged and I do not know how to fix this? They appear under menu fine, outdoor entertaining / outdoor kitchen, but when you click the menu button you are taken to:

domain (dot) com / outdoor entertaining
domain (dot) com / outdoor kitchen

    and not

domain (dot) com / outdoor entertaining / outdoor kitchen

How can I fix this?? Thank you in advance.

Ignore my ramblings, I have had a play around and sorted it out – it was the Page Attributes I needed to amend.

    Thanks folks. ??
