Adding required fields

  • I need to have them fill in an address along with the email and name. I have those fields already set up in the mailchimp list, but it is not available when I place the form via the plugin. Anyone??

    Can this plugin support that and if not any recommendations without having to sign up to pay anywhere that can collect the data for a mailing list.

  • Hey Pwycliffe!

    You can certainly get required fields set up within the plugin’s forms as well. If you’ve already set up the Address field to be required within the MailChimp side, then you’d want to click the “Update List” button next to the list’s name in the MailChimp Setup page in WordPress. After that, you should be able to scroll down and fine the “Merge Variables Included” section of the plugin’s configuration which allows for toggling which fields are enabled and which aren’t. Once the list has been updated in the plugin after you’ve set up a required field in the MailChimp list on the MailChimp side, you should see your required field there.
