• Hi All,

    I am attempting to attach my blog feed to my static homepage.
    I have attached my template source code below.
    I want to attach the feed underneath my static page contents, but still maintain the same style – ie, width etc.

    My CSS setup for the width of my Static Page is perfect:

    .site-content .entry-header,
    .site-content .entry-content,
    .site-content .entry-summary,
    .site-content .entry-meta,
    .page-content {
    	max-width: 870px; // put the width you like here
    }

    The following is my template source code:

    <?php
    /**
     * Template Name: Full Width Page
     *
     * @package WordPress
     * @subpackage Twenty_Fourteen
     * @since Twenty Fourteen 1.0
     */

    get_header(); ?>

    <div id="main-content" class="main-content">

    <?php
    	if ( is_front_page() && twentyfourteen_has_featured_posts() ) {
    		// Include the featured content template.
    		get_template_part( 'featured-content' );
    	}
    ?>

    	<div id="primary" class="content-area">
    		<div id="content" class="site-content" role="main">
    			<?php
    				// Start the Loop.
    				while ( have_posts() ) : the_post();

    					// Include the page content template.
    					get_template_part( 'content', 'page' );

    					// If comments are open or we have at least one comment, load up the comment template.
    					if ( comments_open() || get_comments_number() ) {
    						comments_template();
    					}
    				endwhile;
    			?>
    		</div><!-- #content -->
    	</div><!-- #primary -->
    </div><!-- #main-content -->

    <?php
    get_sidebar();
    get_footer();

    I would like to display the latest 5 feeds – no specific category.

    Please assist where possible.

    Kindest regards,
    Shaun

    					}
    				endwhile;
    			?>
    <?php $temp_query = $wp_query; ?>
    <?php query_posts('category_name=news&showposts=5'); ?>

    <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    <div class="post" id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
    <h3><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h3>
    <?php the_excerpt(); ?>
    </div>
    <?php endwhile; ?>
    		</div><!-- #content -->
    	</div><!-- #primary -->
    </div><!-- #main-content -->

    <?php
    get_sidebar();
    get_footer();

    This displays both the static page content and the posts, but the posts are not in the same style as the static page body. I need to have the same style, so that it just looks like I have entered down from the static page contents and pasted my feeds. Same margin, width as the static page content.

    [Moderator Note: No bumping, thank you.]
