Change custom posts to normal posts

  • The majority of my posts are custom posts using a plugin called Question and Answer forum. This plugin is no longer supported and I would like to migrate these posts to normal WP posts grouped under a category.

    I presume I will have to redirect all the old urls pointing to the custom posts to point to the new urls?

    My questions are:
    (1) Is there a quick way of migrating the posts other than cut and paste?
    (2) What would the seo consequences be?
    (3) Would I have to physically fill in all the meta stuff relating to All in One SEO on page optimization?

  • If the plugin is no more supported…you will have to migrate the post by using cut and paste method only. I don’t think any other plugin can do this for you.
