can’t login to wp-admin even restore .htacess and also with removing .htacess

i can login to wp-admin normally if rename or remove All In One WP Security & Firewall directory in plugins.

i also tried by deleting plugin directory and database tables
and after that installed again All In One WP Security & Firewall but
after activating plugin site forwards to site/aiowps_login_msg_id=session_expired and also can’t login to wp-admin

Hi hmk20009, have you tried the following instructions?

Before you activate the plugin again can you try the following. Deactivate all your plugins and only activate All In One WP Security & Firewall. If you are successful then start activating one by one your other plugins to see if there is any conflict between the plugins.

Let me know if that helps you.

    Kind regards

same problem, even i deactivated all plugins and then activated aiowps plugin but
after activating plugin site forwards to site/aiowps_login_msg_id=session_expired and also can’t login to wp-admin

    @hmk20009,

Do you get the “site/aiowps_login_msg_id=session_expired” when you try to access wp-login.php or wp-admin directly from the browser URL?

Have you enabled any of the brute force features – if so which one?

Please check the log file of this plugin:
    ~/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/logs/wp-security-log.txt

Also check your server logs because they might also contain information about why your problem is occurring.

Then let us know what you find.

i enabled cookie based protection when i installed plugin first time about few months before

In that case your cookie may need to be refreshed.

Try entering the special URL (containing your secret word) in your browser to get access to the login page again:

    eg:
    yoursite.com/?yoursecretword=1

But for the above to work you will need to have the correct entry in the .htaccess rules (and you said you removed the entries in that file).

So in that case you will need to deactivate the cookie based brute force feature and then re-activate it again so it can write to your htaccess file.

If you can’t get to the plugin settings when AIOWPS is active then just login to PHPMyAdmin and delete the following entry from the wp_options table:
    aio_wp_security_configs

The above will clear all settings from the AIOWPS plugin.

yes, by deleting row wp_options solved the problem.

    thanks for your help.

again problem is coming while try to login to wp-admin.

When i enter admin name and password, it is not loggin me in
nor show any error but stay in same login page.

i disabled cookie based brute protection last time.

i can’t login to wp- admin unless i delete aio_wp_security_configs row from wp-options. although i havent’t enabled cookie based protection.

Any suggestion, how to solve this issue. without deleting aio_wp_security_configs row every time before login to admin.

    hi @hmk20009,
I noticed this thread is marked “resolved”….does this mean your issue has gone away?
If not, which other features have you activated in this plugin?
    Are there any logs produced?

There is obviously some kind of conflict happening in your setup which is interfering with your login.

This plugin deliberately has many features and alternative features for you to choose from because not all sites will operate 100% without an issue for every feature.

It is your responsibility to perform the tests on your site and determine which features work and those which don’t or which are causing issues for you. Then you can simply disable the features which don’t agree with your site.
