Topic Closed without Explanation?

I just spent time documenting an issue I am having with BWP reCaptcha being placed in the wrong position of my Post Comment form. I came back to add additional information for anyone who might be able to help, but when I tried to submit the additional info I was told the topic was closed.
I haven’t received a single email notification regarding my posted question. Nothing productive, nor anything indicating that my topic was closed. Who does this?
I see this a lot on the forums of www.remarpro.com – not only my own posts but those of others who are asking questions of similar issues I’ve had.
What caused my topic to be closed? Does anyone know how I can find out the reason and who closed it in the first place?
