• Hi there,

The plug-in is working fine.. I have a lot worked out and my site is looking and working great.. Thanks!
There is only one little thing, and I can’t figure it out… (looked for hours at support and articles GRRR).

    This is my big problem:

I’ve a ‘link field’. When a member signs up, they fill in this field.
    First field: “https://www.blahablah.com”
Second field (link text): just: “www.blahblah.com”

    But there is 1 error:
    1. My site is showing only in the pdb_list: “https://www.blahblah.com”
and not “www.blahblah.com” what is specified in the link text (second) field of the link field.

    I tried every thing!
    Make links clickable yes/no
trying to put yhe http;// in the other field and vice versa, but no succes!
I disabled all others plugins to be secure, no succes.

please help, because this is important for my site..
Any suggestions what I’m doing wrong?

    Thnx!!!

Since this feature is tested and working, I would assume that what is happening is in your setup. Since disabling plugins doesn’t help, it could be the theme that is for some reason adding the “https://” to your domain names.

Have you tested using a plain string (not one that is a domain name) for your clickable text to see if that works?

Thanks for your answer! I appreciate that a lot!

But unfortunatly that’s not the case because its not only https:// in front of the the textfield.

I tested this; urlfield: https://www.blabla.com textfield: test and the display is: https://www.blabla.com

I hope I don’t forget something.. I don’t have to do some extra stuff to the linkfield? Just filling in the url field and the textfield is enough? And when I do a search it has to return the textfield?

I was thinking of another possibility, letting go of the linkfield and making it just a text-line field:
Is there a possibilty to make links cklickable, when they start with www ?

Well, this is puzzling. The plugin will take a text field that looks like a link and make it clickable, but it has to have the https:// or https:// so it knows it’s a URL. That won’t fix your preference to not show the protocol (http…)

    Hi Xnau,

Thanks for your answer.. I thought it would bit puzzling also, so I worked around my problem..

First: in the searchresult the textfield of the linkfield is not showing, only the URL field. But the textfield is correctly displayed on the page where the [pdb_single].. is. Is this a bug?

Second: I used the single record link field. This is directing the viewer to the single page where the textfield is showed. I’m happy with that, although i’s different then I expected..

Thanks for your help and love you’re plugin a lot!

    THANX!
