Duplicate email notifications

  • Hi there,

    I’m in process of developing a Donate button for an organisation using your plugin. This is really excellent and easy to use! Thank you for making this available.

    Is there a known issue with duplicate email notifications?

    When a Payment is processed successfully (we are using Sandbox testing mode), each email is sent twice with exact same content. We have set up a Donor’s notification, as well as Admin notification. This results in 4x emails total (2x each).

    Other plugins on the website that use Email functionality did not send duplicate emails so pretty certain this is not a mail server issue specifically.

    We are using Gravity Forms 1.8.7 Personal edition, plus PxPay plugin version 1.2.0.

    Hi just want to clarify – there was no duplication of submissions (there is only one entry shown, so just the email notification was duplicated).

    G’day Mario,

    I can’t replicate that problem, am testing on WordPress 3.8.2 with Gravity Forms 1.8.7 and GF DPS PxPay 1.2.0.

    Can you please export your form (Forms > Import/Export > Export Forms) and send the XML file to the email address on my contact form? I’ll see if I can spot anything.

    Also, please list the plugins you have installed / activated, so that I can test that too.

    G’day Mario,

    I’ve given it a good beating, and can’t make it send duplicate emails. I haven’t installed all of your plugins though, just the ones that sounded like they’d make a difference — the SMTP plugin (which you have disabled anyway) and Contact Form 7. Perhaps try disabling everything other than Gravity Forms and GF DPS PxPay, and switching to a “standard” theme like twentytwelve, then try. I think it must be something specific to your environment, so please see if you can track it down by disabling things. If you can find which item is in conflict, I can try to rectify it.

    Also: can you please send me a screenshot of the DPS PxPay feed from the admin? i.e. from Forms > DPS PxPay. It might be something to do with those settings.
