1.2 beta – comments held for moderation

  • Comments are being held for moderation, even though that option is not checked. Also, the notification email is not being sent until after the comment is approved, i.e. there is no notification when a comment shows up in the queue for approval.

  • On my 1.2 beta, I’m receiving new comment in queue notification IF BOTH boxes are checked – notify when comment posted AND notify when comment approved/declined. I can live with that, although the second notification is mostly unnecessary.

    I think a “Notify me when a comment is awaiting approval” option is missing. It was there in the early alphas, and it WP 1.0.2

    The first notification goes to the site admin, the second notification to the post author.

    This is useless if there is only one author. I think there should be a check to see if post author is also site admin. Then only send the first one.
