  • I met the same question.

    I saw on your page that you resolved that problem, how you made it ?

    It only works for categories, I never figured it out for Resources and Contacts as those are pages on my menu.

    If you go to categories, under the posts tab, you can add a description to each category that will show up under their place in the menu bar.

    hi,

    A page is not a category, no description.

    why there is a gap between the edge of the theme and the menu?
    must be put in Custom CSS
    .secondary-navigation {float: left; margin : 0 auto 0 -20px;}

    Hi, I’m having a hard time getting the menu to look like yours. I just downloaded the Point theme and the menu is a dropdown…

    This is my website. Can you tell me how to change the setting?

    Hi Lambrey,

    I found that if you want to add a description for your Resources and Contacts menus you would have to modify the html file by adding the description inside the span in your html file:

    <a href="https://jetlagandjuiceboxes.com/resources/">
    Resources
    <br>
    <span class="sub">Add description here</span>
    </a>

    You would have to find where this code is in your Html file. See if that works. Regards Chris

    Hi Bumpintoreality,

    I think the only difference between your menu and mine is that your menu item names are longer which caused one to shift down below. That happened to me as well and I just renamed some items something shorter. Is this what you mean? If you want the descriptions underneath each topic you can add descriptions in the categories tab.

    If you are trying to get rid of the baby potting drop down item and make it it’s own tab, you can change it from the dashboard. Go to appearance and click on menus. From the menu structure box make sure all items are lined up to the left side – if one is shifted to the right it becomes a sub item and will be a drop down under the topic above it.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi lambrey, thanks for all your info! I actually realize the menu looks different in another browser. It must have a drop down menu only when I’m logged in perhaps. Thanks for your help! Appreciate your time greatly.
