Please Please Please! can we have a zero (0) in the selectbox? sometimes you don’t want columns but there’s no zero in the list to select. Funny thing is it works if you add a 0 in the short code: columns:”0″ – that works – but then it reset the shortcode once you update the gallery photos and click update gallery.

What do you expect to show with 0 columns? All the images, wrapping around?

He is trying to avoid row breaks. So do I. Not solved.

If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic instead of tagging onto someone else’s topic.

I am now closing this x month old topic as it references an older version of WordPress.

Haha – resolved! I don’t think so. I also don’t understand why you ask the other member to open a new thread/post for exactly the same problem?

Not had your coffee today sunshine? Lighten up please. We are simply asking to add to the media manager what’s possible in short code. Since when is adding a zero such a big deal hey?

Why do we – yes there are quite a few of us (do a google) – want no columns? Because we want no breaks. Those little annoying BR tags that you should rather space with CSS.

I wanted to have a list of images so I can make a responsive gallery but NO! Lets be retro and do it like in 1999.

I’ve changed the php myself and will now have to go and do it every time WP has a new version.

That’s just how these forums work, you create your own thread to discuss your own issue. Nothing to do with being grumpy.

No it’s not a big deal, Mika just asked you to clarify what you want.

This is NOT resolved. It is possible to set [gallery column="0" ...] but not in the select box. This should not be so difficult.

Why would you want 0 columns; two words Responsive Layouts. I want columns to expand and contract according to the viewport but this is not possible if WordPress is adding a break tag to the html.

If it were for my site this probably wouldn’t be an issue but it’s a client site and I guarantee they’re going to break it the second they try adding new images to the gallery.

BTW – found this forum post while trying to find a solution that doesn’t involve plugins or hacking the core. Some of the ‘solutions’ that have been posted on other sites are not ideal

It’s 100% resolved if the OP says it is.

Please feel free to open your own topic on the matter, then you can determine if your topic is resolved or not.

Edit: As this is an old topic and the OP doesn’t mention responsive, I’m closing this one. Again, if you wish to create your own topic then please do but also please include your own points and specifics when you do.
