Log in with the new ithemes security plugin

    Updated several plugins about 2 weeks ago. Now I can’t find my log in page (which I had bookmarked)> The only thing I can think of is that Ithemes security (formerly “Better WP Security”) has change the login URL (which has been done in the past) Does any body know what it was changed to? thnx.

  • First, identify exactly which security plugin you are using and then post in that plugin’s dedicated forum via its page in the Plugin Repository.

    Two possible troubleshooting avenues:

    1. double check https://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php isnt working (i tinkered with a similar issue and the php file was still accessible)

    2. connect via ftp and look for the the wp-login.php filename that has probably now been changed.

    3. type in https://yourdomain.com/login/ to see if that works because sometimes it automatically redirects you too the login php file.

    I’m not heaps good with the backend stuff still learning, but i hope that helps.

    It sounds like the hide backend feature on IThemes Security is enabled.

    Log in to your web host and locate your .htaccess file. Look for a line that says something like ‘Begin Hide Backend’ – you should see the new log-in address.
